A Century of Heroes is the story of the Massillon Tigers, and in many ways is the story of Massillon, Ohio, itself. Through profiles of the players, coaches and other key members of the community, you are exposed to many of Massillon' s life-dramas from the past century. Like Massillon, A Century of Heroes revolves around the Massillon Tigers football team, who started as the first professional football power in 1903 and continues as America s most famous high school football program, winners of 22 state championships and 9 national titles. A Century of Heroes tells the behind-the-scenes stories of Massillon, a former steel town whose population has fluctuated between 30,000-35,000 over the century.
